Christopher Saunders
Chris is a founding director of Precision Legal, who practises primarily in the corporate and commercial law team. As a director of Precision Legal, Chris values building positive professional relationships with his clients, and is constantly working on developing the firm’s culture, implementing business objectives, and improving upon management strategies.
Chris commenced his legal career in residential and commercial mortgage lending, possession of land proceedings, debt recovery and commercial leasing, and has represented clients in legal proceedings before the various Courts and Tribunals in South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Chris has an extensive knowledge of property law principles and his corporate and commercial experience also extends to dealing with joint ventures, franchises, sales of businesses and general contract law.
Chris has particular expertise in the negotiation, preparation and review of formal legal documentation relating to a broad range of commercial transactions. Chris is a proactive and commercially-focused lawyer who takes pride in providing strategic and accurate legal advice, and developing commercial solutions to varied and complex legal matters. Chris is loyal to his clients, passionate about providing legal advice, and endeavours to add value at every stage of the relationship with his clients.

Property Law
Chris has a wide range of experience in property law including advising clients on development sites and agreements, property transactions, licenses, easements and commercial leasing arrangements. Chris’ experience allows him to consider his clients’ specific circumstances and needs, and draft complex agreements to protect his clients’ interests.
Examples of Chris’ property law experience include:
- assisting clients in relation to large-scale residential property developments, including attending to the conveyancing of the same.
- contract negotiation, preparation and review for the sale or purchase of land;
- high-value commercial property transactions within the Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs; and
Corporate & Commercial Law
Chris has experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial legal disputes, and regularly assists clients in successfully resolving disputes through careful analysis of his clients’ legal rights and obligations, and by developing a suitable strategy which considers his clients’ specific circumstances.
Chris assists clients in the preparation of a broad range of corporate and commercial agreements, which often includes engaging in negotiations with solicitors, individuals and companies in relation to the provisions of the same. Chris’ legal and organisational experience allow him to provide his clients with advice regarding the costs and benefits associated with any commercial arrangement, so that they can make an informed decision as to how they wish to proceed.
Chris has provided corporate and commercial advice to clients in relation to a variety of industries, including retail, building and construction, property development, information technology, telecommunications, tourism, hospitality and health.
Civil Law
Chris has been engaged by clients in relation to all manner of civil proceedings, and regularly acts on behalf of applicants and defendants in the Civil, District and Supreme Courts of South Australia. In particular, Chris has been engaged in relation to high-profile residential and commercial construction disputes, regularly advises clients in relation to debt recovery and breach of contract claims, and has been engaged in personal and corporate insolvency matters.
